The saying goes that time is a blur when you're having fun which is why it's like doubling speed if you're in the process of operating a bustling online business.

We're now in the second quarter of 2024 Let's take a look back some exciting updates you might've been missing in the endless Naruto adventure that is e-commerce.

These new products and developments will help you simplify your life -- and give you more time to enjoy your successes throughout the year.

 What's new in

Continue to enhance the product editor

After launching our editor for products in 2023, we've continued to improve the experience and add the ability to integrate with your preferred extensions. These are the most recent enhancements that make it easier than ever to design and manage your product.

The editor has been updated, with a more intuitive interface Cover image currently displayed alongside the product name for greater visual clarity as well as we've added brand new tags which clearly show Draft as well as Hidden products' statuses.

options to hide a product from catalog and search results

Speaking of Product Add-ons: With the latest release, you can now make it possible tomanually create orders with customized options as well as alter add-ons to the existing order and select alternative options when products aren't in inventory. We've also paved the way to support future analytics by adjusting the method of saving data.

Cart and Checkout blocks get lighter and more user-friendly

For performance reasons, we streamlined how JavaScript is built for the Cart as well as Checkout blocks. This results in significantly smaller information load on each page. The Cart block is reduced by 11percent reduction in the amount of data, while Checkout is reduced by 17.9 percent, bringing your site up to speed with each process.

Additional checkout fields are now transitioning from beta release to the official version. The new user-friendly fields offer the ability to gather more data about a client or their purchase.

Visual updates consist of a refreshed purchase summary (with sticky functionality on desktop) more clear display of local pickup options as well as improved design of address forms as well as adjustments to the checkout procedures. Additionally, we have made adjustments to the accessibility of checkout in order to improve the shopping experience for all.

More stylish and BNPL discovery in WooPayments

WooPay gives you even faster efficiency and speed

If buyers hit "Proceed to check out," they'll now be directed to the quick, secure (and already 2.5x higher-converting!) WooPay payment page. That's not all: we've implemented performance improvements under the hood, so WooPay is also faster to load than ever.

We also made it easier for WooPay customers to locate and make use of their preferred payment methods. New "Alternative payment methods" link within the Pay With section takes shoppers straight to your store's checkout -- with all of their checkout information pre-filled with information of WooPay. Make it easier for shoppers and give a massive efficiency boost for your checkout process.

Another change that is brand-friendly: the WooPay The Light as well as the Outline button designs have been upgraded to have a neutral white background for better compatibility with store brand colors.

More understanding and better views of Order Attribution

Earlier this year, we introduced earlier this year, we introduced an Order Attribution view that displays the order's source to help you make informed decisions regarding your time and money. In 8.9 the release, we have introduced an Attribution column into the Orders table as well as to the Orders report, giving you more ways to access and use your data.
