"I am from a business that has a business model which is based on community growth due to the fact that Discord is an open source program," he begins. So, he made the decision to create a private Discord community, with access to all content available on WordPress and that's the place that his first media venture, virtualization.info was hosted, that would enable him to "recycle 20 years of experience".
He decided to utilize WordPress and not only because of his knowledge however the reason was its flexibility. "There are numerous reasons why 43% of the websites in the world use WordPress," he adds. The maturity of the plugin ecosystem means the possibilities with WordPress is incredible and could be accomplished in a remarkably small amount of time with different tools."
Do not compromise on branding.
Alessandro says: "Many newsletter and blogging platforms don't offer much choice in creating the branding. They combine the look and feel, and everybody does exactly the same. You can customize the theme slightly, and you can include your logo, but these are minor changes.
"Every publication or blog appears the same. It doesn't seem to work for me. Also, as I advise regarding social media, you shouldn't sacrifice the option that you think is the most efficient. Don't compromise getting your work done in the most efficient way you're able to accomplish in order to check an item off. Doing something you don't want to do is one of the main issues that could cost you time and again and over."

"I created a brand users are still talking about twenty years later, and they still email me with questions about. I need to have the complete power to create each and every pixel in this site to ensure it's promoting my personal brand. I want to advance my personal brand, not other publishers."
Becoming valuable: niche and voice
"Two factors are crucial when you try to create an online publication," Alessandro continues. "The first one is finding your target market. It's simple to define however, it's a challenge to attain!" The man laughs.
The author explains that there's nothing to gain from having an additional person covering the same topics in the same way as others who are covering the same topics from the same angle. "You can cover the same topics, and that can be related to food, political issues or crochet, squash, or any other topic you'd like to cover However you must take a different perspective. It's the basis of your niche: the way your approach to things differs."
The concept he lays out is Synthetic Work by examining AI using a non-technical approach and the impact it has on jobs, economics as well as the general public. "If you think about cooking, as an example, this could be a field that you base your opinion upon the scientific basis behind cooking, something that is rarely discussed and even at the most basic scale of chemical is what makes food taste great.
Second, you need to find your own voice. "Human creatures learn through imitation. We say, 'Wow I love the way they write and then try to imitate the way they write, which is fantastic - that's the way to get as much knowledge as you possibly can. But then you need to reach a stage where you are able to develop your own voice. This could be terrifying!"
It's difficult to comprehend that others might not like your way of looking around or express yourself yet that's all you need to do to distinguish yourself in a crowd. "If you're using identical tone of voice or method of communication as the rest of us, you'll be quickly forgotten."
He continues to add: "People don't read for informational value. This may seem counter-intuitive but they read for the reason that they believe in the person they have read about. They're intrigued by the person you are, which is translated into the way you choose to say." He encourages people to ensure the personal characteristics of their character are seen in the words that they use when speaking about their area of expertise.

Alessandro has been witness to the phenomenon for over 20 years and still sees it every day. In one instance I read an instructional guide for students considering the possibility of pursuing a PhD which was that originated from one the co-founders of OpenAI. This has nothing to do with artificial intelligence. This is an article that written by the author several years back. The article suggests going to conference. He recommends that you glance less at the agenda and pay attention to the speakers. You should look at speakers you recognize and like or know of which are excellent, regardless of whether what they offer doesn't match with your study."
Alessandro explains that this is a perfect example of the point the author is trying to make in order to make people more enthusiastic about what you do and the way you say things. In the end, what you say could be a secondary matter. "Even when they may not be with your views, they'll be interested in hearing your ideas since they've come to respect you and feel that you have a major role to play in their lives."
