Sep 8, 2022

Are you convinced that it is possible to increase the number of followers on Instagram within the span of 90 days? If it is possible then what is it that you need to do?

That's what Peter Fitzpatrick (@impossible.creator) is trying to find out.

He estimates the challenge has "less than a 20% probability of success." However, these staggeringly tiny odds just serve to inspire him to achieve the goal of his goals.

The reason why he's doing this

Why would anyone even bother with this lofty goal? It's definitely easier to try to hit say 5000 followers in 6 months, or 15,000 followers over the course of a year.

Peter speaks to content creators regularly as the vice president of payments for . Every week, he hears that the number problem they're facing is creating an audience. If they don't have an audience for their content, the creators won't be able to share their knowledge or market their online courses. It's an issue, to put it mildly.

He is interested in learning the best ways to grow an audience and what doesn't to help the creators who are struggling as well as empower others the community to support our customers by providing real help.

"The most successful creators pour an enormous amount of time and energy in building audiences. I'd like to share with people how it's done myself, and highlight the fact that most creators need to focus more energy and time on audience building."

Evidently, the journey will not be an easy one. Already, Peter is facing some challenges (even when he's not officially started yet!).

"It's nerve-wracking to place yourself on the market! I'm not an expert on content, but I'm putting myself out there to be evaluated. My most frequent comments are coming from my mother.." She smiles.

This sentiment is frequently repeated by beginner content creators , who feel hesitant to start. The author also cites the difficulties of being able to decide what content to publish, and coming up with enough content that feels real.

"Authenticity makes you feel connected to others. I'm trying not to share items because I'm afraid that other people will like this. Instead, I write about my real life and just pray that it will resonate with others."
