Staff Pick Premiere: Double trouble

The term "opposites attract" is commonly employed to describe our human nature. People attract us, even if that we aren't. This is why that we're capable of recognizing two individuals that have differences as well as become romantic. Couples are also known to make noise and create tension when two people that have differing opinions attempt to come together on the same goal.

Utilizing elements of supernatural science to analyze the difficulties of relationships might seem like a leap of faith for anyone who has viewed the films of Robbins. However, years of performing in comedy have given Robbins with the opportunity to study the effects of comedy on the nature of human behavior. "We can all be at a loss" Robbins says. Robbins. "And truthfully, I've never even spoken about it in film. When I was 18, as well as in the first stages of my professional life in the comedy field, I opted to take the leap of faith because I thought I had the right time to talk about an important subject. My experience was one that I enjoyed. Being able to laugh at individuals was something I was able to master and was determined to replicate."

Robbins employs romantic comedy to reveal some of the issues that we want to hide. "If individuals were treated exactly the way they would treat their friends within their relationships, they'd get angry. Each of us has been hurt by someone else." What a person does with the realization that they've been hurt determines the nature of their character.

Robbins created the script along with his regular collaborator Nunzio Randazzo (who plays the character of Alex in the film) after discussions on the characters created in the work by Quentin Tarantino that led them to think about how they could be to get to know someone and surround yourself with the people you consider to be your own. Caroline Lindy, who is superbly depicted in the character as Female Alex is a perfect character and has a remarkable performance. Also, she has an esthetic resemblance Randazzo which adds an additional level of drama in the movie.
