SELLING Audio Samples Using Demuvi The Demuvi Audio Store

Mar 31, 2022

The marketplace for digital audio has grown exponentially over the last few years. As consumers, we love the convenience of having access to billions of songs, but how has technology impacted the musicians behind them? Veteran producer and seller Demuvi discusses with us the latest tools and possibilities technology has made available to artists today. He also reveals where he finds inspiration for his work.

It's been your job in the world of sound as co-producer, producer, and sound designer for nearly 30 years. How did your journey with music get started?

I started making music as an teen on a Commodore 64 and an Amiga computer. With limited resources, I constantly had to come up with innovative ways to make music sound great. Back then it was challenging but I learned a lot about sound design and synthesis from it.

made it easy to get my new products to the marketplace. The process of setting up my shop was simple and when I encountered any difficulties, I always got direct help from customer support.

The majority of my work in music involves designing presets and synthesizers, which help professionals as well as novices to create their music with ease. I also specialize in recreating the sounds you experience for yourself using my "Popular Soundtracks" expansions. These are custom-created versions of music from the 1980s and 90s. There are also music from the 70s as well as the 2000s being developed.

What do you draw your inspiration from?

My primary focus is the music from the 80s and the 90s. I was intrigued by what it would take to reproduce the soundscapes of the times using a computer-generated synthesizer as well as create presets that can be played using the keyboard. You could also say that my main inspiration comes from the past.

How does technology affect the creative process of your work?
Software synthesizers are now improved enough that physical synthesizers are hardly ever needed according to my view. If anyone still makes use of traditional synths is doing it for nostalgia or joy however, in the realm of audio technology, I envision far greater potential for software synthesizers in the near future. It makes it easy to get creative on computers and greatly simplifies the process.

What developments in the audio design industry have you seen? Have the profile of customers or demand for related products substantially changed?

The market for sound design is vast, and so are the number of players. I've probably found some fans of my reproductions, and I'm happy that there are others who are also passionate about old-fashioned sound effects.

I don't think much has changed over the last couple of years, except for the technical aspect. Computers are getting more powerful and software will create even greater possibilities. This is the future, and it's exactly what I had predicted years ago. At the time, computers couldn't produce sounds like they can now. I was right about technology.

Which tools have you found the most useful in creating digital sounds and music?

I use Ableton Live Suite 11, Serum, Sylenth1, VPS Avenger, Parawave Rapid and the whole Native Instruments Komplete 13 Collector's Edition. I also make many sound effects by hand, mostly with Serum and the VPS Avenger Plugins.

How have you helped to market and market your goods and/or products or
