Subscription Dashboard Reporting Calculation Improvements
The MRR and calculation of ARR
Upgrades, downgrades, as well as add-ons, were not always properly documented or handled in subscription reports. The issue has been resolved in the past, and calculations will be much more accurate soon.
What kind of changes can I be expecting to notice in My Store?
If you do a lot of changes and downgrades or any other add-ons, you may notice that your MRR and ARR fluctuate slightly due to the new calculation. These calculations are more precise than previous calculations, thanks to these fixes. Historic MRR Changes
In the past, we used the deactivation date as a reference for cancellation date before removing MRR contributions. This may have the unintended result of altering the historical MRR value. To combat the issue, we've updated our tools for analysis to recognize cancellation events when the cancellation is made and remove the MRR contribution on that day.
Examples of the modifications
Think of a monthly subscription which was activated during the month of the month of January in 2023. It was canceled in the months of May 2023. It was then deactivated during the month of December 2023. The prior MRR contribution calculation would not change until the point at the close of year 2023. The change could have affected MRR contribution over the period of May to December 2023.
If we take the dates from the example above, the calculation immediately eliminates the MRR contribution to the account starting with cancellation in May of 2023. The result is a more precise MRR adjustments calculation.
What are the changes I should be expecting in order to view in My Store?
A few sellers can result in a slight increase in cancellations. There is also an rise in the MRR for subscribers, as well as those who are currently active. If you're interested in further details about this reporting We invite you to reach us via [email][email].
