For the founder of Hotel Weekend, Natalia Swarz her approach to travel doesn't only revolve around what they do or how they get there, but a set of principles that define their journey. Traveling the Hotel Weekend way means taking everything at a slower, more thoughtful pace. It's about preserving "what it is like at the moment you enter the hotel room, and discovering something new, when life is simple and not rushed," Natalia says.

The growth of a lifestyle brand to an enterprise

"I was looking to develop an identity that could mean any thing: a book, website an online cafe, clothing, whatever you can imagine," Natalia says. But she keeps her customers at the forefront before making any brand decision. "We want to keep it easy and not overly-spy," she says. "There's an enormous amount of consideration and care that goes into each mailer, each product created and sent out, as well as every piece of content created for our users. It's crucial that our members feel with all of our communications that there is a real woman behind this initiative."
