At the start of the month of January, 2020 Nia Pettitt established the Curl Bar which is a salon specifically for curls, situated in London. The salon's concept of Nia's didn't just revolve around making clients feel attractive and beautiful and attractive, but also providing the space for each customer to feel welcomed and valued.

The road that brick and mortar businesses to the next level

The establishment of a salon for hair with curly locks was always a ambition for Nia's. "I frequently traveled from America for my hair's treatment since it was difficult to find salons within London, let alone within the UK," she says. "I determined to make something that was safe and comfortable, and reflected visually the things I imagined in my head as a young person." The customers responded positively to the idea. When they first opened the doors at The Curl Bar the bar, reservations quickly were filled to the capacity.

"Your life is going to be changed after you take the choice to start your own business. Check if you're well-prepared to handle the changes." Nia advises aspiring business entrepreneurs. It was difficult to know what kind of change was to be coming for Nia and Curl Bar. Curl Bar. In the midst of just two months after the opening of the restaurant was forced to shut down temporarily because of COVID-19 shut downs across the UK. Even a short interruption in business did not affect the speed of Nia down.

"I had no formula for growing the business, or in the event in the event of an outbreak" she states. "I just see every day as an opportunity to learn from and learned from." When The Curl Bar was closed, Nia shifted her focus onlineand connected to stylists as well as her clients through social media until The Curl Bar could be fully opened.
