Rio gave an overview of her daily skincare regimen following an outbreak of acne that led to her breaking out. The information was shared with her peers and friends before finally being published by New York Magazine. In the years since, Rio has gone to the Esthetician's School, created an agency for skincare, and published a work regarding the topic.

From a viral post into a marketing strategy

Rio's beauty routine that went viral was one thing. But the transformation of the moment to a possibility required a prolonged and stressful process.

"When I finished my studies at my Esthetician school, I was aware that I wanted to start an business that was more intimate and private," Rio says. "I was terrified like most people feel in the beginning of their business."

"When I first started my business I was keen to make certain that I had prepared my consulting in a way that it would be as effective as it could be. I conducted between 20 and 30 consultations for free with my friends and family members prior to the launch of my business and sought their help with some tips," she adds. "Because of this, I could work out any kinks before I had my first paying customers. This was extremely important as it ensured that by the time I launched my company, I had a lot of time to practice, and thus launched my venture with confidence."
