Community organizer and skateboarder Briana King puts their passion for their sport and community over all else. The path to a successful career based on these passions has happened very naturally for Briana because the way they describe it to their friends "I've completed everything because of pure enjoyment and not simply because I wanted it to have a job of any sort."
Learn the ways Briana makes use of their website as well as social media channels to remain connected with their skateboarding community both online and offline.
Community building through products
For Briana Their website highlights all the aspects of their brand on one page including skate events, merchandise to purchase, and connects to their vibrant community on social media.
"It gives me an outlet to share my ideas as well as my future meetups," Briana describes their site, "but it also motivates me to start looking into new concepts."
One of these concepts was the idea of launching their online store which will sell products related to skateboarding. Briana sees these products as yet another method of connecting with their customers--by offering their members of the community "something that makes them happy or makes them smile."
Briana has also hired a skateboarder friend to manage their ecommerce operations. "I believe we need to support the community in every way that we can. All I do is back into my community."
