interview with Joe Howard

Q1: What's your background of you and what led you to get involved with WordPress?

Similar to many others related to WordPress I discovered it as I was working on various projects. I studied math throughout my college days and graduated. I was able to become a math instructor at the high school level for a period of two years in Washington, DC Public Schools.

Then, I made the decision to quit my job. In the following months, I joined the first phase of an SEO agency. I was named Director of Operations. It is a prestigious title and especially so in the case of my first day with the firm. The idea is to work in the glam of hairstyles and also performing various tasks.

Furthermore, I also had the an opportunity to acquire knowledge of online marketing, as well as strategies for creating an online enterprise and develop skills that I use and continue to improve.

The very first time I set out to start a business was a struggle but it was definitely worth the blood, sweat and tears that I put into finding the info I required to reach the point I'm currently at (and my path to not long in the distant coming years).

Second question: What's the top most important thing to be aware of regarding everything that you are doing with WordPress in the present?

There's no doubt that I'm a part of my neighborhood WP community! I search for recruiters via PostStatus, which happens to be a component of the PostStatus Job Board as well as I'm also part of WordPress Meetups (DC, Baltimore and Northern Virginia). Additionally, I'll be giving my very my first WordCamp Talk at WordCamp Pittsburgh in addition to WordCamp Baltimore. Boom!

Since then, over the last several years, I've started developing WPMRR and my WPMRR WordPress podcast after the huge popularity of the WP Buffs. It's the first online course that will teach WordPress professionals how to handle selling successfully and how to implement ongoing customer support strategies. This will help increase the amount of money they earn each month. The entire podcast is focused on the profitable and growing WordPress company, with the regular monthly income is not taken too much seriously.

3. What were the challenges you faced on your way to achieving the status of a professional?

There's plenty! People are appalled at how WP Buffs remains where it remains for just a few months. It is my duty to let users know that this website was developed following seven years of errors that have accelerated the speed of improvement in. It was the result of seven to unsuccessful projects, which led me to where I am today.

The biggest challenge I've encountered in my path to get here isn't linked to WordPress or anything else.

This isn't to say that it was easy to leave my 9-5 job. was a simple and profitable decision, however, it was also very profitable and working full-time in a full-time capacity was quite demanding for me. After I decided to take an official job full-time after which I realized that I had made the correct decision. If you're someone who lives every day, you find it hard to step away from your routine.

I'm certain that my time is one of the best worth the money. My experiences have made me quit. Additionally, I wasn't the greatest employee. Therefore, I was forced to work for my boss. The task I was assigned was to be completed.

My conviction that I must be on the job all the each day to achieve success is just one of my first steps However, I think this is among the biggest choices I have made in the past few years.

It is essential to make efforts to understand why something went wrong and figure out methods to improve your capabilities for the future. the goal you want to. achieve. This is what I'm trying to accomplish and am trying to do to improve my skills.

Q4: What's surprised you in your WordPress world?

Sincere and honest, warm and friendly is the way that is the WordPress community has become.

You don't have to consider yourself to be a beginner (like I was a couple of months back) There are numerous groups which are a included in WordPress Meetups together with WordCamp Happiness Bars along with WordCamp Happiness Bars that can assist you to improve your abilities and conquering the challenges you confront.

What kind of company I'm employed by, or the type of business I'm working to work for. Participation in the WordPress market is something that I'm happy about. The community is active and made up of real individuals who don't hesitate to share their true personas. There's no place where can put a sociable marketer with an introverted software developer and find that they easily get along. This is a unique and unforgettable encounter.

In the same manner I am amazed by the amount of people who solely focus on WordPress but don't put in the effort to build and grow a business. There's a lot of potential within the WordPress community for earning a significant income that can be made by small businesses instead of working 80-hours every week on a freelance market.

This is something that everyone should strive for. The right decision is made for business and scaling the tech we're developing in a way that the technology isn't running over a week.

It is the reason that I'm thrilled that I am able to witness Troy Dean at WP Elevation aiding people to build WordPress companies, resulting to positive results for their customers and resolve big problems.

5. What do you consider to be the possible future possibilities for both WordPress and WordPress the world?

Moving forward and even further using WP Buffs!

We're dedicated to offering the most trusted technical support to every individual, company or any other business that owns an WordPress website. But, we're currently in the process of implementing it. There are close to 100 clients. This means that we've completed our demonstration-of-concept.

To broaden our offerings, we've devised strategies for broadening the variety of products we provide. Of the white-label partnership. It is the top objective of mine personally. Locating the best advertising agencies, design companies as well as freelancers in WP for continuous support is among essential elements to growing the company. I am amazed at how much progress we have made in order to help propel our business forward.

Just like many entrepreneurs, I'm constantly thinking about my new business concept that could let me expand my operations to the WordPress business, but also away from it. In the meantime, I'm trying not to fall into"shiny things " so that I can remain focused and ensure that WordPress Buffs can provide top-quality service to our customers.

Q6 What are the primary elements you think about when deciding on the most suitable WordPress hosting service?

Another problem I'm trying find within the hosting firms is whether hosting services are fully managed.

I am aware that the price of shared hosting could attract few users. If your blog is one intended solely for personal reasons and does not attract a lot of visitors, sharing hosting could be the best option.

It is my opinion that it is a timeframe that is very valuable. All I have to accomplish is work 24/7 in a one day and with little bandwidth. In order to maintain WP Buffs' popularity and grow its exposure it is my responsibility to concentrate on selecting the best people, and also going to WordCamps as well as other conferences, in addition to talking to people and tackling major challenges. Making choices about dashboards of hosts that are offered to our customers is not something I would like to be doing. That's the reason why I collaborate with hosting companies to set the standard in this area.

It is essential to find an experienced host service provider who can ensure that your website stays fast and secure on the internet. But, there are plenty of high-quality hosts you can pick from. If you decide to choose one of them, odds are you'll have the tools to control this hosting service.

Q7: What are some things you engage in even while away from your computer?

I'm a Mt. Pleasant resident. Mt. Pleasant. I'm located in a quiet area of Rock Creek Park where I take walks in the nature along with my pet Marvin every day.

If I'm on WordPress it's a guarantee that I'm hanging with my husband Sterling. Our wedding was the month of this! We're avid hikers, especially in the mountains, as well as camping outside of Washington, DC. We also enjoy traveling (Burning Man will be coming very soon).

Also, I'm part of the group called Sandbox. The summits of the world took place in the forests of Panama in addition to on an island that is located in Croatia. My tribe!

To read, I'm an avid fan of SciFi. Most likely, I'll read each month a novel. Furthermore, I'm required to listen to one hour of radio shows (Tim Ferriss, Joe Rogan, etc) each day. It's not a small amount!

8. Who will be our next interviewee? And why?

Brian Krogsgard! Since his appearance in the blog's Status"Publish" in the last year, I've been impressed by his expertise within WordPress and in the field of online. Furthermore, he has built an incredible number of WordPress users without any effort. It could be an excellent interview.)

Brian Jackson

Brian is a fervent fan of WordPress and has managed to regularly use WordPress for more than the past decade. Brian is the writer of two highly rated WordPress plugins. Brian is an avid lover of nature and cinema in addition to blogging. Brian can be reached on Twitter. Brian on Twitter..
