Illustrations that incorporate movement and space - The CreativeMindClass Blog
From the time I was a kid I've loved to draw, paint, and play with my hands. It has been my most natural method for me to express my feelings. Growing up in Taiwan the pursuit of an artistic profession was considered a snub, and I was often instructed by my parents to learn deeper into practical topics otherwise I'd end in the streets starving to death.
Fortunately, my Mom was always encouraging me to do whatever I wanted and did anything in her power to help me reach my goals. Following my return in America, United States and graduating high school, I made the decision that I wanted to make art a career.
I was accepted to ArtCenter College of design, studied Illustration intended to go to the field of feature animation. However, along the way I came across motion graphics and was enthralled by their versatility as well as all the amazing work that is created by people I greatly respect.

What would you say about your style?
I am still on the road to discovering a style I am able to confidently call my unique. I have the tendency to experiment with different things from time to time... One month I'll want to do very colorful things, soon I'll be tempted to experiment with the more natural-looking colors. I'll get really into a car style for a few months, one day suddenly I'll become bored and want to try a style that's built on lines.
Sometimes, I'll attempt to blend two different things that I find intriguing to make it seem like I'm in a never-ending journey to explore and gain knowledge. After fumbling a in a few places I'm beginning to notice the specific patterns, shapes, and colors I'm attracted to. Maybe this is the start of a style?
That's a big reasons I enjoy working for Oddfellows Sometimes I cannot believe that I'm fortunate to work with a team of insanely talented individuals. In the workplace, we are often required to adapt to different styles depending on the project. almost every project is done with different ways which is why I am constantly learning new things from my coworkers every day.
What are the most important things to consider when creating your illustration?
I love to draw sketches of topics that I am intrigued or curious in and then give my own spin to it.
Most importantly, I love having amusement. Fun is the most important factor in creating anything that viewers are able to see if a creator had pleasure performing something... that extra sparkle.
As I was battling the pandemic, watching my colleagues and our studio trying their best to help the community and the community, I felt compelled to create a Patreon named Joy&Frens with a 50% of the income goes to charities chosen by my patrons. There, I post Tips & Tricks, process videos, ask friends to join me for collaborations and offer their expertise.
My work can also be seen on Instagram and on my web site.
