Fantasy illustration - The CreativeMindClass Blog

What would you say about your style?

It's somewhere in between stylized and real-life fantasy illustrations. I tend to use colors that are muted and watery and prefer to use organic, flowing shapes. My "style" as an illustrator is heavily influenced by my color palette as well as the subjects I choose to draw, and not necessarily how it is painted. I used to work with a more linear style but I've recently moved to a looser and more expressive style.

What is the key in creating your artworks of fantasy?

I'm constantly re-examining them until the image is closest to how I imagine the image in my mind (within reasons, else I'd be able to spend months working on one painting). I strive to challenge my ideas and not settle for a mediocre image. I'd rather spend a lot of time trying to get my perfect fantasy image than rush through the process.

What are the best places to show your fantasies?

I'll be a part of the forthcoming "Oceans and Currents" exhibition in Gallery Nucleus on July 1st! For now I'm via Instagram. There are prints available on my store online Bandcamp If anyone is interested!

And I also have a YouTube as well as Bandcamp to those who are interested in my work and I'll be releasing new songs soon.

The Background of Brigitte

I earned my diploma in my school, the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, and I currently work in the entertainment art industry as a concept artist and illustrator. I also have an ongoing innovative project named Pearl Farm that I draw drawings. I write, as well as sing my own songs.

The illustrations for the article come drawn from my own work, Pearl Farm. It's my original story, it follows a traveling troubadour known as Vinny and her pet Ray Hubble when they journey their way through a vast globe known as"the Lofty Coastline.
