Colored Pencil Flower - The CreativeMindClass Blog
If I had to choose one word to represent my style of drawing, it would be 'Spring'.
I would like people to look at my artwork and feel that they're blooming, as if a spring warm with blooming flowers.
Cottagecore is my lifestyle that I have chosen and believe in. The reason might be that I reside in Seoul the largest city in Korea which is why I appreciate rural life and natural sceneries much more than what I catch in their sight daily.
So rather than spreading intensity rather, I try to convey a serene and serene mood that is as I do in the natural world.
What is the key for creating illustrations?
In the beginning, I'd like to discuss my favorite things I find motivation in. My focus is on the joy even in the smallest of items. The blooms I find in a flower garden or the whispers of a flower flying in the breeze, even a small blossom at the corner of a street I see when walking.
I am primarily inspired by tiny wildflowers. Landscapes that are natural from botanical encyclopedias as well as rural landscapes are also part of my ideas. I have saved a great deal of information through images and often take notes about color pencil ideas.
Then, let's look at the technique of work. I draw to the extent of elaborate details in the manner of actual flowers. I also convey my emotions through colors.
I employ sharp colored pencils that precisely express the shape that the flowers take. It is then set with a gentle and warm atmosphere by making use of pastel tones instead of strong hues.
It is also my preference to put the plain and texture of paper by using the technique of paper flowers to create the appearance of flowers in bloom.
In contrast to drawing simply instead, I believe that creating flower designs on paper creates a more beautiful atmosphere. This is the closest representation of my imagination.
