Being connected to your inner self; the deep core of who one is.

Angela Maria Sierra, a Spaniard-born artist, depicts her true self and emotions she is experiencing. This is reflected in models with a rich emotional life, full of sensitivity, ease, and joy.

She is known to the art world under the name Riso Chan, who is photographer and artist currently at The Netherlands. She just started her new artistic journey with videos and the creation of her own YouTube channel! This is something she's was wishing to do for a lengthy period of. Bravely storming through uncomfortable conversations with the camera, she uploaded an entertaining video of herself working, her life, as well as her surroundings for creativity.

Artist Vlog - Riso Chan

Riso Chan about embracing her authentic self in artwork:

My work is very emotional. I create portraits of myself of the feelings I am feeling. I have always been a sensitive individual. When I was young, it has been something that always felt a bit uneasy and I attempted to ignore it. (...) As you mature to maturity, you realize that it's alright and everyone feels differently. I decided to use my emotional energy that I have to my daily day life to begin painting. I use it to fuel my creativity and to spark the imagination of others. That is amazing because something that I was striving to get rid of all day and then, suddenly, I put on a piece of paper and seemed like a great relief. It is now a place where I can utilize this feeling, and I can use these emotions pleasures, hurts, and pains to put them down on paper. It felt really awesome and led me back to my place of gratefulness. It began to resonate with many others. I was opening the door and writing things down on paper I'd have never considered before. As opposed to trying to be the same as other artists who have already "made it" I listened to what I wanted to convey and who I am as an individual. I embraced something that I was not happy with about me and realized it is actually my superpower. I'm very happy to be my true sensitive self.
