An illustrator for books, Soosh, talks about her fairytale illustrations.
As I was researching Soosh to write this piece thoroughly, I came across her YouTube videos. If you've seen her work, then you'll realize that it's like an old fairytale is reborn. In addition, she adds her voice in the form of tales, she creates it a full-rounded magical experience bringing her fairytale characters to life. Read on, but be sure you stop by on her YouTube channel with a cup of hot tea and prepare yourself for a magical fairytale night.
We asked Soosh what she believes is the most important thing to capturing the little daily moments in her artwork
"Hello, I'm Soosh. I was raised and born by the people. I am not a part of any country, nationality, religion or any other. I am spending my life looking at people, myself and others and analyzing the specifics of every aspect. It's a tricky path, that's why I've not chosen it in advance, but I am in the path. When it comes to traditional art education, I have none whatsoever.

Although I am aware that there are various styles of painting and drawing are referred to as styles, I have never given much thought as to what type or style I'm drawing fit into. If I tried to find the words to describe the style, I would say it's a "fairytale realist" style. But speaking frankly, no style.
I think the key for me, as I see it, is to see with your heart as much as with your eyes. It may take some practice to be able to see the little things, like with every other skill. The trick is to remain silent for a few minutes and be remain present for your present. Pay attention. Pay attention, but not too much.
My primary focus has always been people. Their expressions on their faces, their mimics and gestures, their kind acts, as well as their flaws - all of it's fascinating and fascinating to me. Afterwards, it's just a matter of time, some pencils, as well as a watercolour pen to dig into and bring life to the everyday images printed on paper."
