3 Reasons Why Wordpress is better than Moodle -
Drawing inspiration from taking a page from WordPress design, Moodle's no-cost and open-source offering is a popular choice for organizations big and small... but do you think it's the best? The learning management system industry is relatively new , and as with the majority of new businesses, there are major companies and those who are bottom feeders. Moodle is among the top players however, that doesn't mean that it is the most effective option.
I am by no means advocating that WordPress is the best LMS should be chosen over Moodle regardless of the situation it's a bit silly since we know that a universal method is not effective. However, I'm able to think of three reasons that I'd prefer an WordPress LMS over Moodle - listen to me:
1. CMS integration - there are already thousands of organizations out there that use WordPress as their CMS, and who can be blamed? The interface is intuitive and is continually being refined, and the support of the community is unbeatable. If an enterprise is already using a WordPress CMS, then integrating the WordPress powered LMS simply makes sense. Its learning curve is almost nothing, and users are already populated, and integration takes all just 10 minutes.
2. Intuitive - I touched on the subject briefly in my initial paragraph, but I feel it deserves to stand by itself. In simple terms, WordPress is user-friendly, even for the amateur who has no prior experience... It was created this way with purpose. It's not a requirement to be a tech genius to get any WordPress platform functioning with a customized (layout, colors, plugin functionality). This is what makes WordPress especially ideal for mid-sized enterprises that benefit from their capacity to be agile and economical.
3. Social-related - This is one area that really stands out to me when it comes to the reason I'd prefer WordPress over Moodle. The WordPress culture is engrained in social interaction (heck it's all the concept behind a blogging). The world is moving into a period that people are expecting to engage with their education, and that includes the platform it's hosted on. "Facebook-like" walls can be created in no time, dialogue can be encouraged by administrators, forum formats aren't cumbersome and video features are simply a matter of a plug-in. The degree of freedom with integrated social learning is staggering and is far surpasses Moodle in terms of flexibility.
Maybe there are additional motives to choose an WordPress LMS instead of Moodle perhaps you believe Moodle is the one-stop, end-all for open-source learning. Whatever the case I am convinced that WordPress LMS addresses the needs of a particular segment that Moodle simply isn't able to meet. It's not to suggest that it's not a feasible alternative for LMS - quite clearly it is a fantastic choice. But hey, it could be better.
